My New Aunties and Uncles from Around the World!
Soo I’ve had an eventful summer friends…Mommy was busy running camps in the DMV for most of it, which meant that I got to guilt trip her a LOT for not being in her WFH season (even though it meant more unsupervised time to work on my opening doors and blinds skills…shh!) Towards the end of summer, she had to work at a site in PA, so Daddy and I road tripped up there to see her. To my surprise, after the weekend together, Daddy left to go back to work! I thought, “Uhh, didn’t you forget your most important traveling buddy??” Mommy definitely needed me to ‘work’ though, given I’m officially her emotional support bunny (more on that another time), so I hopped to it & trusted the plan that my paw-rents must have worked out.
Once I settled in, I realized there were a LOT of people in the house where Mommy and I were staying, and they seemed much different than our neighbors back home. I soon came to find out, that there were 12 international camp counselors in the house, along with the rest of the camp team…that was like 15-20 humans + there were 3 dogs! Never in my 5.5 years…welp, anyway, folks started to come knocking to visit me, apparently word got out fast that such a famous bun was around town
Over the next week, I ended up building bonds with these humans. They were from all different countries and had all different talents: Auntie Panna was from Hungary & she could sew faster than any seamstress, Auntie Taya and Auntie Sal were from Western Australia and they both could make intricate jewelry plus were super cuddly, Uncle Ankit was from India and he played a serious game of hide and go peek with me, then there was Auntie Rosh, Auntie Vaish, and Auntie Liv who were all from the UK and all could dance their tails off, plus Grand-Auntie Laura who smothered me with so much love that I wasn’t sold on leaving at first. (sorry Dad!) Before we finally did leave, they left me sweet messages – some of which I’ve shared below:
