Bun-efits of Sun Naps
Let’s talk about naps. Humans and bunnies can both agree that naps are highly beneficial. (I mean, I think bunnies have the market cornered on naps, but that’s a topic for a different blog post.) Naps are essential for regulating emotions, memory, alertness, and learning (sleep foundation said so!!) which in my bunny world means quelling my thumping, remembering where I hid things in my hidden burrow, being able to hear a banana peel at first break, and learning new ways to get into the areas that Mommy and Daddy block me off from…important tasks! Sun naps…they’re on a whole other level of amazing…!! Helloooo vitamin D for shiny fur, healthy immune system, and bones of steel. I’ve never woken up from a sun nap without feeling energized and happy, which is very important as we head into the winter season here bun-squad. Sometimes my Grammy makes fun of me for napping so much, but I think she just wishes she was a bunny and could nap all day long with me. (She loves cuddling me.) Anyway, all this nap talk has me sleepy, and now you know how important it is for me to catch these ZZZs, so I’m hopping off for now. Chat with you again soon!!
