Birthday Reflections
This year, I’ll be hitting the SIX YEAR milestone and this birthday has a bun thinking…what have the past 6 years been filled with exactly?
Year 1: I got adopted, learned how to use a potty. I had the best big sister ever (even though she might not have felt the same about me, heeheehee), and learned what this thing called “COVID” was (I guess it was all the rage in 2020, who knew?) so it was a big acclimation year for me.
Year 2: Mommy & Daddy moved us to a new apartment down the hall and we got a whole extra room! It was at this apartment that I learned to hop super high: over couches, on to beds, and up to windowsills. TWO was definitely my best hopping work.
Year 3: That apartment had a lot of power outages, so I got to experience my first hotel stay…talk about glamorous! The hotel said I was their 1st bunny and that I was very well-behaved (take that Winnie). I also tried to make a friend with a bunny named Willow…let’s not talk about it. Mommy said I was not my best self.
Year 4: We moved again! This time Mommy & Daddy said they bought our home, so I guess we won’t need to move again? This is the year that I got my very own “big girl” bedroom and I also learned to open doors and unzip things. I also found all the best sun-nap spots. Oh, and we wrote my 1st book! It was a solid bun-year.
Year 5: After we settled in a bit at the new home, I helped Mommy promote the book. I also took up the position of Neighborhood Watch, learning to open blinds, so I can have a clear view of any dangers that are lurking. The blinds also let me sniff my friends: puppies, squirrels, and human neighbors.
Year 6: It feels like I’ve already accomplished so much as a bunny. I wonder what I should learn this year? We’re working on book 2 and Daddy says I have a real fan base growing. I guess maybe I’ll need to start a fan club…all this reflecting is making me hungry…let me binky off for some green leaf and give this a think.
